Absolutely! This app is free for everyone. I don't charge anything for using it.

Nope, not at all. I built this app simply to make my own news reading experience easier, and I’m sharing it with others who might find it useful.

I don’t own any of the content you see in the app. The news is directly retrieved from the original sources, such as Stuff, NZ Herald, and RNZ.

I have this Raspberry PI in my little PI cluster. It's running a tiny local LLM to determine the sentiment of the article (positive or negative). It's not a 100%, but it's pretty good! 

You will still see some articles that shouldn't be in the "wow that's great news!" camp, but it filters out most of them.

If there’s a site you think should be included, just let me know. I’m open to looking into adding more sources to make the app even better.

No account is required to use the app. Just go to the feeds to get going. Maybe in the future there will be personalised RSS feeds that require an account.
